Ingredients
- 1 Deli Kitchen Sliced Focaccia
- Steak of your choice (e.g. ribeye, sirloin, rump)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar (optional, for enhanced caramelisation)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated or thinly sliced
- Handful of Rocket
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Method
- Firstly, caramelise the onions by heating oil in pan and cooking for around 20-30 minutes, until golden and soft. Set aside.
- Next, take the steak and pan-fry for 3-4 minutes each side (or to your liking). Rest aside and slice thinly.
- Then layer caramelised onions on bottom focaccia slice.
- Add sliced steak, cheddar cheese, and rocket.
- Finally, add the other focaccia slice on top to finish the steak sando!
