Ingredients

  • 1 Deli Kitchen Lebanese Style Flatbread
  • 1kg Keepers Cut of Beef
  • 1 tsp oil (to sear the beef)
  • 200ml beef stock
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1⁄4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp smokey barbecue sauce
  • 1 handful of butterhead lettuce
  • 2 tbsp coleslaw
  • 1 spring onion

Method

  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a frying pan on high heat. Add the beef and sear on all sides.
  2. In a jug, mix beef stock with tomato paste, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion
granules, chopped garlic, and cracked black pepper.
  3. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker and pour the beef stock over the top. Close the lid
and cook on high heat for 6 hours or low for 8 hours until the beef is falling apart.
  4. Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred. Pour 5 tbsp of the cooking stock from
the slow cooker over the beef. Add 3 tbsp of your favourite smokey barbecue sauce and
mix well to coat the beef.
  5. Take the Deli Kitchen Lebanese Flatbread and place the butterhead lettuce on top.
  6. Next, add the coleslaw, a serving of the shredded beef and spring onions to finish.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
