Ingredients
- 2 Deli Kitchen Greek Style Flatbread
- 250g macaroni
- 40g butter
- 40g plain flour
- 600ml milk
- 250g cheddar, grated
- 50g parmesan, finely grated
- 2 leftover burger patties
Method
- Cook the macaroni in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8–10 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
- Melt the butter over a medium heat in a saucepan slightly larger than that used for the macaroni. Add the flour and stir to form a roux, cooking for a few minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, then cook for 10–15 minutes until sauce is thickened and smooth.
- Preheat the grill to hot.
- Remove the sauce from the hob, add the cheddar and stir until well combined and melted.
- Add the macaroni to the sauce, mix well then set aside.
- Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet, then evenly distribute the macaroni cheese between both.
- Take your leftover burger patties, chop into small chunks, then layer on top.
- Sprinkle over the remaining cheddar and the parmesan, then place in the oven for 7-10 minutes, until the cheese is browned and bubbling.
- Serve and enjoy!
