Ingredients

  • 2 Deli Kitchen Greek Style Flatbread
  • 250g macaroni
  • 40g butter
  • 40g plain flour
  • 600ml milk
  • 250g cheddar, grated
  • 50g parmesan, finely grated
  • 2 leftover burger patties

Method

  1. Cook the macaroni in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8–10 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter over a medium heat in a saucepan slightly larger than that used for the macaroni. Add the flour and stir to form a roux, cooking for a few minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, then cook for 10–15 minutes until sauce is thickened and smooth.
  4. Preheat the grill to hot.
  5. Remove the sauce from the hob, add the cheddar and stir until well combined and melted.
  6. Add the macaroni to the sauce, mix well then set aside.
  7. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet, then evenly distribute the macaroni cheese between both.
  8. Take your leftover burger patties, chop into small chunks, then layer on top.
  9. Sprinkle over the remaining cheddar and the parmesan, then place in the oven for 7-10 minutes, until the cheese is browned and bubbling.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
