Method

  1. Combine the diced tomato, onion, coriander, lime juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl. Stir well and set aside.

  2. Heat the rice pouch in the microwave according to the packet instructions and mix with the black beans.

  3. Lay out a sheet of foil for each wrap on a at surface, and place a wrap on top of each foil sheet.

  4. Start with a layer of shredded gem lettuce in the centre of each wrap. Add half of the rice and black bean mixture to each wrap. Divide the sliced steak between the two wraps, layering it on top. Spoon the fresh salsa generously over the steak.

  5. Fold the sides of the wrap in, then roll it tightly from bottom to top, using the foil to help hold it all together. Wrap the foil snugly around each wrap to keep them secure.

  6. Slice the foil-wrapped wraps in half for easy eating, or enjoy them whole for a hearty, high-protein meal.

Key Ingredients

  • Deli Kitchen Protein Wraps: These are super soft and provide a sturdy, high-protein base that can handle all your favorite fillings without breaking.

  • Sirloin Steak: A lean cut that provides a bold, savory flavor; slicing it thinly ensures every bite is tender.

  • Black Beans: These add a lovely earthy texture and a boost of fiber to keep your energy levels steady.

  • Fresh Coriander and Lime: These are the secret to that authentic, vibrant taste that makes the whole wrap sing.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with a side of charred corn on the cob sprinkled with a little chili flakes.

  • Add a few slices of creamy avocado inside for a boost of healthy fats and a silky texture.

  • Pair with a smoky chipotle dip for those who love a bit of extra heat and adventure.

Storage & Reheating

While this wrap is fantastic when fresh, you can store the individual components in the fridge for up to 2 days. For the best experience, keep the salsa separate until you are ready to eat to prevent the wrap from becoming soft. If you want to reheat the steak and rice, do so gently in a pan before assembling your fresh wrap.
