Ingredients
- 1 Deli Kitchen Garlic Tear & Share
- 500g lean minced beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Jar of Tomato Passata
- 2 tablespoons tomato purée (paste)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 300g spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Method
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Add the minced beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the tinned passata, tomato purée, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water. Add the drained spaghetti to the sauce, along with a splash of reserved pasta water. Mix well to coat the spaghetti in the sauce.
- Serve with our Garlic Tear & Share Flatbread, and top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
